Circuit Assignment
Area of Interaction: Environments

Significant Concepts: Basic circuits

Unit Question: How have circuits impacted our environments?

Define the following:
1. Voltage: The measurement of electricity
2. Current: Flow of electricity
3. Resistance: The amount of voltage lost
4. Circuit: Parts on a silicon plate that does something
5. Transistors: Amplify electrical current
6. LEDs: LIght emmitting diode
7. Capacitor: Used to store energy
8. Resistor: Decrease the voltage
9. Switch: Turn a circuit on or off
10. Digital Electronics: Re-programmable circuits, circuits that can be changed
11. Integrated Circuit: A hard circuit, can't be changed
12. Binary Code: Basic language of computers

Spend two day creating snap circuits.
13. How many circuits did you make? (You need to make at least 6 circuits)
I made about 7 circuits
14. What was your favorite circuit?
My favorite circuit was the one that combined light, sound, and the fan together
15. Did you like the snap circuits? Explain why:
I didn't really care for the snap circuits because they were ridiculously simple.

Spend 4 days making your bug circuit.
16. Did your circuit work?
It half worked... One of the legs was dysfunctional so it just went in circles.
17. Did you like making the bug circuit? Explain why:
Yes, I have never soldered before so it was a new and interesting experience for me.

18. How have circuits impacted our environment?
Circuits allow us to create newer technology to help the environment or harm it.
